Welcome to the Davis Brothers official website

Website of the month: www.thebeatles.com page 2 of 2

It’s presented as a kind of mini biography, and summarizes well all the great moments in the Beatles’ career. One nice interactive feature added is that certain words here and there are highlighted darker than other words. When you drag the cursor over the highlighted word, a picture pops up that’s related to the topic of the sentence. That little feature makes reading the entire biography fun, like a story book with pictures. The Music section is simple enough. From 1963’s “Please, Please, Please” to “Let It Be” in 1970, and all the subsequent “best of" and compilation albums that came later, all the Beatles’ albums are present and accounted for. Every album displayed includes the tracks and original album art. This brings us to The Films section of the site, which is very much like the Music section. Each Beatles film is here along with photos, cast, credits, and other info related to each movie. The Sites section is one of the most extensive areas in the Beatles’ web site. Listed here are nine other web sites about the lads from Liverpool. Most are related to a new Beatles product or popular release. For example, not long ago a Beatles CD titled “1” was launched and a new website was created with info specifically related to that “1” CD. This is typical of the types of websites you’ll find in The Sites section. I should mention that each of the 9 sites in this section could probably have its own review, so needless to say they’re worth a visit. The Store section is exactly what you’d imagine, and endless amount of Beatles merchandise. DVD’s, books, clothing, home décor, and just about any and every item a Beatles fan could want is here and officially licensed. By the way, if you want to be informed about all the latest Beatles news, you can sign up for it. There’s a link at the bottom of the web page where you can register, and then you’ll have all the latest news emailed to you. It would be nice if there was a fan mesage board or a forum, but perhaps one will be added later. Well that’s basically all there is to www.thebeatles.com. It’s a simple yet effective site, a breeze to navigate, and combined with the other linked sites, it’s a fountain of Beatles information. Cheers to the design team at www.outsideline.co.uk. We certainly enjoyed our visit and review of your site, and it was time well spent.
