The
Discography section is simply wonderful. Not
only do they show all the Beach Boys music (with album cover
art when available), but they offer samples of every track
from any album you click on. If you like any of the samples you
hear and want to buy, links are provided right there for online
purchase. Great idea! Pet Sounds, perhaps the
most celebrated work from the Beach Boys has been given a special
section. Clicking on the PET
SOUNDS link sends you to the unofficial Pet Sounds
blog. We might do a separate review of the Pet Sounds blog-spot
at a later time, but we did want to mention it.
The Photo section has a nice assortment of both
color and black & white photos of the Boys. The Video
section allows users to play complete Beach Boys videos in 3 different
formats and in both high and low resolution. “California
Dreaming” is currently the only video available,
and a nice treat, because I hadn’t seen it before. Are the
Beach Boys still touring and doing shows you ask? Click on the
Tour link, and if there’s an upcoming performance,
you’ll find it there. There’s a nifty little feature
called Timeline which starts at 1941 and ends
at our present time. Anything during those 60 + years that has
any relation to the Beach Boys is noted on the timeline. It’s
quite interesting and could be a great source of information for
someone researching or writing about the Beach Boys. The
Extras section offers up some “buddy icons”
and a few desktop backgrounds. If you would like to know the latest

section and get on the Beach Boys email list and/or subscribe
